In The Beginning
OnTheClock.com was originally conceptualized in 2003 by Dean Mathews. Dean is the
founder and lead developer at Paradigm Information
Solutions, Inc.
Site Launched
After hundreds of hours of planning and software development, the site went live
in May of 2004. In the first few days after launching our new online time card system
we received only a few signups. However, in the weeks and months to come we started
go grow and become profitable early in 2005.
Over the years
Over the last few years we have been hard at work adding new features to our time
clock system, while still maintaining our ‘no instructions required’ philosophy.
We maintain a strict core system upgrade schedule, this includes upgrading the servers
hardware and operating systems as well as the database and software versions.
The Future
We are always coming up with new ideas on how to give our users a better punch clock system. We routinely review our ideas and suggestions from our customers. After review most of the features are added to our time clock system.
Another exciting thing we are developing is a
help desk ticket system for our
customers to use, this will expedite your support requests.
For The Geeks
OnTheClock.com is built using Microsoft ASP.NET using only native components. We
leverage the power of javascript through the use of standard javascript code as
well as jquery. A full 3 tier architecture has been erected, these include presentation,
business logic and data access layers. SQL Server is leveraged to house our customers
valuable data. Our dedicated Microsoft Windows servers are hosted at
Orcsweb, a Certified Microsoft Gold Hosting Company.
