You do have the option to edit a previously Approved or Denied PTO request. In the PTO Status box choose the appropriate Status (Approved or Denied) you want to edit. Then click on the PTO that you want to edit.
Editing an Approved PTO
Click on the Approved PTO you want to edit and you will get a screen as below.
You would click on the “Undo Request” button and you will get a popup that gives you a warning. NOTE: “If you proceed, you will need to manually delete the related timecards.” That means that you will need to go to the Time Cards for that employee on that or those days and you will need to manually delete those Time Card entries if you click on the “Undo Request” button.
Once you click on the “Undo Request” button, you will then have the option to Deny the request or edit the request. When you have finished editing the request you then just either Approve the edited request or Deny it. You also have the option to cancel the editing without changing anything and it puts the Request in Pending Status.
If you edited and Approved the request or you Denied the request, you now will need to go to the time cards and remove (delete) the originally requested time off.
Editing a Denied PTO
Click on a Denied PTO request you will get a similar screen that you get when you click on an Approved PTO request. You would click on the “Undo Request” button and you will get a popup that asks you “Do you want to undo PTO request?”
Click on the “Undo Request” button and the PTO request will then be in Pending Status where you can make changes and approve the PTO request.
