I think we should be the ones who turn on any functions. They should not come pre set with an option to use the app to clock in. It seems there must have been an update and now that feature is automatically available and it is one we didnt want to be available. Only found out when staff admitted to using it. That is all.

The Enable Mobile Punching option is turned on by default, but this is something that can be turned off when creating the employees profile. I was struggling with keeping up with my staff time. Getting them to clock in and out manually, and tracking their time was a chore. On the clock, is an awesome tool for all of that and more. AND with a capital AND their customer service is the best. Doesnt matter how stupid a question is, they are there to answer and walk you through the process. Just a side note....I dont really do reviews, but when something works, you got to give people as my students say "their props". Make sure this is in your companys budget no matter what.

Were a small company and On the Clock has been a lifesaver. Employees have a record of their hours, and we get the necessary details for ADP to process the payroll. Geofencing is also a bonus. When an employee is on location at one of our customers, On the Clock can also track. Also like job categories. Employees can specify what they worked on, and we know how to expense it. Great product.

PTO calendar

I loved the old version when you clicked on a PTO request in the PTO calendar & it brought you straight to that specific request to edit. Now it takes you to the screen with ALL pending requests & we have to search for it all over again. Change it back!!!

I was about to check out the program to see whats new; and it asked if I would give feedback.... Id be happy to! When I used to use the app frequently, it worked flawlessly! Allowing me to track both time and projects, it was the ultimate tool for me as an independent. I plan to start using it again when I start getting clients. Im back now to see whats new. The best part, it is Free for 2 person company. ???? It is a beautiful thing. ... If it had a budgeting or accounting feature and/or tied into HubSpot, mercy me. It may or may not, That is why I am here today, to check out current features. In either case, thanks for how you now have it, and for what you do. I like that if I ever grow my company--it would still be affordable. Its a well thought out app; and I plan to continue to use it as part of my productivity mix.

We made the switch from manual punch cards to OnTheClock a year ago. It is a great tool and has many features that we love, including employee surveys, personal messages, and job coding. The initial set up was simple, even with 85+ employees. The support staff is also very helpful. I would recommend this company for your time tracking needs!

Great App but would like an Integration

Id love to have this integrate with TriNet PEO Services for payroll. While TriNet does offer their own clock in/out services, it is not ideal and very clunky. We love OTC and wish it would just sync up to our payroll sheet with them.

On the clock works incredible. Keeping track of the guys, there hours, sick time, vacation time, anything that you can think of, they thought about and its offered, and I believe at a fair cost. I can only blame myself for not yet taking the time to learn all the benefits and features they offer. 5 stars 100% never once had an issue, I greatly recommend this app for any size business, especially if your in the trades where you have different crews running to different job sites, as the app pin points locations, and punch in/out times. Suggestion

When I accidently sort for all employees to show a years worth of timecards there is no way to stop the system from trying to do it. Even if I log out I cant stop it. I have to wait for the system to time out. I have about 80 employees its trying to put on the screen and the system cant do it. It would be helpful for you to add a "cancel" process button so that OTC is not locked up for the next 15 minutes or so.

Limited functionality

Weve been using OnTheClock for about a year now, but unfortunately we will be switching to another provider. We dont use OnTheClock as a classic punch in/punch out time clock. We use it so that our employees can track their hours after the fact. We do not pay for lunch time, so our employees have to do two separate punches to separate out the lunch time. It would be very easy for them to put in a toggle where lunch can be accounted for without having to add a second punch. The other issue we have is that I need to see the employees start and stop times. I do not allow them to total their times and enter it that way. It takes about 4/5 very unintuitive steps just to get to where they can add a Punch. I had to make user documentation to give to every new employee - thats how bad it is. Their customer service is great though. So, they get a star for that.

We are primarily set up as a time clock system, so our features are a little more geared toward clocking in and out rather than adding time in after-the-fact, though you can certainly do that as well. As far as start and stop times goes, our system has multiple places (Whos In, Time Cards) where you can view this information, but perhaps you are referring to something more specific? Regardless, thank you for writing this, we are always listening to feedback to aid in directing the development of our product. -Chris

We have been very happy with the switch from QB Time to On The Clock. The time clock is easy to use for both management and employees. I am an accountant, and find the client dashboards are very informative. I highly recommend the program. On the clock is a great platform. Weve been using it for about 1.5 years for our small business. We have multiple staff with varying part time hours. All of our staff work remotely at varying work sites. The app works perfectly. Tracks where employees clock in and we havent had any issues. Highly recommend.

While parts of ontheclock are great...our employees often have time logging in and using the app on their phones. Weekly we have to manually add punches to employee times. Were probably going to switch time logging software because of this. Sorry-yall need to work on this. Well give it another month or two, but if its not better well move on.

This platform for timekeeping is phenomenal. Its easy to use and navigate. You can edit punches and add notes. Also, it has a feature where you can calculate the timecards and export them via Excel or PDF files. You can get free time card templates.

Almost perfect

On the Clock is easy to use, even my less tech-savvy employees can usually manage to use it. The biggest (and maybe only) complaint I have is that it doesnt seem to have a way that I can just automatically set up holidays that are repeated every year for every employee, including new ones. If not for that, its as close to a perfect timekeeping app as Ive found.

Easy, Simple Solution for Timekeeping

We love this product and all that it offers for such a low price! Adding employees, departments, and managers is a straightforward process. Printing reports for HR and payroll is simple and saves us so much time compared to doing all of this in Excel spreadsheets. We also love that paid time off is available and features can be turned on and off for employees depending on their roles. This amazing product has so much to offer and is a great choice for small businesses!

As a small company this has been a great transition. We used the Jobclock for 14 years. Now that most employees have smartphones this is so much better than time clock keys and downloading a clock to retrieve time. It is easier for employees to use because they never forget to bring their phone like they did with the Jobclock keys and they can watch their time through the app in real time. I have access to not only who is clocked in and when but also where they are clocked in. The cost of this system compared to the Jobclock is saving us a few hundred dollars a year as well. Changing to On The Clock was a great decision and although i was apprehensive to the change I have no regrets. Would definitely recommend!

Hate OTC now auto logs you out

OTC used to have an option to stay logged in. Since the update and new screen for login, no more do we have that option. It is annoying to be logged out when I go to this 10 times a day and have to sign back in.

This time clock app and site is awesome, it helps track time, locations, and aside from the few android users we have, it almost always works. The android users have some issues clocking in, or logging in, but we set up a clock in station, and it helped the issue. IOS users its amazing.

I could not log on as an administrator on my desktop but could log in on my phone app. I needed to get to the information quickly to correct payroll. Matt made it super easy for me to reset my password and he never lost patience even though I interrupted him with questions during the entire conversation. Kudos to him for helping me out today. Works better than others of similar cost.

Weve had a few time tracking apps over the last several years. We have tried some that are more expensive like Intuit and others of similar cost. For us, a small company, we like the costing scale, the ease of use for our employees and the reliability. We often times work out of cellular range so the manual input is handy. Overall wed recommend this app.

Great Concept

Love the product although there is sometimes an issue with its functionality on occasions. Mainly with adding punches to time clocks. Also not sure if I just haven’t ran into it yet or if it even exists but having a gps setup that the app automatically clocks a person in when they arrive at a location and out when they leave.
