Check Paid Time Off (PTO) Balances

Benefit to the OnTheClock User

As the administrator, quickly check the amount of PTO hours used by type and the remaining balance for the time period.  Scroll down to see a summary of hours used by date.  Scroll further down to see pending requests.  PTO use and balances are viewable by employee, not by all employees.

To View PTO Balances From a Browser

  1. Log in as the administrator.
  2. Click “employees” at the top of the screen.
  3. Select the employee to view balance.
  4. Click “PTO Settings”.
  5. Click link of right side of screen, “View nameofemployee PTO Hours”
  6. Click the “Excel Export” button near right for a report or view on the screen.  The export will show the rules set, balance, and dates used for an individual employee. Click here to learn about editing the PTO rules and set up from a browser.

To View PTO Balances From the Mobile App

  1. Log in as the administrator.
  2. Click “PTO”.
  3. Select the employee to view balance.
  4. Click “PTO Settings”.
  5. From here, you may add a request by clicking "Request", view "Pending", "Approved" or "Denied" requests.
