Needing a more effecient time-tracking solution

RC One Racing is a hobby shop dedicated to remote control cars. The business idea came from Mike's passion for RC racing in the '90s, "I always wanted to own a hobby shop," he said. RC One Racing offers a race track, building stations, and kits to help you build the best car. He hopes to grow the community of RC racing fans and offer an environment where they can come together to build and race RC cars.
Mike owned a business before RC One Racing. In 1985, he had a wall punch clock. When he started his new company, he knew there was something more modern that would make time tracking simpler for everyone, and he wanted to leave the old punch clock behind.
Paper time cards from physical punch clocks did not save any time regarding payroll processing. Paper was easily misplaced or destroyed, and collecting handwritten time cards was a hassle, as well as deciphering punch times for payroll processing. Mike knew he needed this aspect of his business to be more efficient.
RC One employees sometimes travel offsite; with a paper trail, there is no way to show where you were. Employees wanted to be able to show their hours and also their locations confidently. Managers wanted to know who created the punch record and that they were at approved locations.
“We used a wall clock, but times were changing”
Mike spent 38 years in business relying on an old-fashioned punch clock, and employees grabbed their time cards off the wall to clock in. Fast forward to now, and the implementation of OnTheClock's web-based time clock has simplified the clock-in process and sped up the time spent managing employee time cards. The web-based solution has also offered RC One Racing more options that help hold staff accountable. Managers now have access to a system that shows in real time that employees are in for the day, and they can easily make any necessary changes. Employees can quickly access their timecard totals for the pay period, view their schedules, and clock in and out. The digital transformation in time tracking has decreased inaccuracies. It has sped up payroll processing which has given Mike, the business owner, more time to spend on other parts of the company. RC One Racing employee Ryan M. said, "I enjoy using the app because it is easy to access everything." We also had the pleasure of speaking with the manager, Ryan H., who mentioned that clock-in and out notifications are handy and the audit log helps manage employees' time. The owner, Mike, said OnTheClock offered simplicity in his day-to-day business operations, which is beneficial since he has multiple roles. We asked Mike what he liked best, and he said, "This is easy to use for my employees and me." Simplifying payroll makes a huge difference when running a small business.
You can't go wrong using the time clock. What makes it nice is it's so easy to use.- Mike
