OnTheClock Payroll Pricing
A complete overview of OnTheClock Payroll’s pricing, included features, and service requirements.
Pricing
There is a base fee of $40 per account per month and an additional $6 per employee per month.
Billing occurs at the end of each month based on activity during the month. The per employee fee is calculated based on the number of employees who receive a paycheck during the month.
Please note that the base fee begins for the month you enroll in Payroll and continues each month thereafter. There is no pro-rating of this base fee and it is incurred regardless of the number of employees paid in the month.
Enrollment in OnTheClock Payroll requires a one-time fee of $250, due at signup.
OnTheClock will import historical employee, company, and payroll data; connect your company’s bank account; and conduct an audit to ensure complete accuracy.

- Tax documents (W-2s)
- State and federal tax compliance
- Unlimited direct deposit
- Benefits withholdings and garnishments
Limitations and Restrictions
Some types of workers, companies, industries, and payroll situations are not supported.
Common limitations include:
- Employees outside of the United States
- Government employees and federal contractors
- Industries involved in gambling, marijuana sales or dispensaries, sales of guns and/or ammunition, adult entertainment, and virtual currency
- Courtesy withholding
- Tax deferrals
- Tax withholdings or deductions from contractor payments
- State mandated IRA/retirement plans
- Tiered 401(k) matching
There are a small number of state and local taxes that OnTheClock is unable to remit on a customer’s behalf. Companies will need to pay those taxes themselves.
