Ive been using OnTheClock for a year for time cards and scheduling. It it cheap, easy for employees to use, and does the minimum I need for scheduling and forecasting.

We have used OnTheClock on and off for a few years now. We only need it when we have summer interns working. Its great as a timeclock app; we havent used it for payroll. The only problem I have with it is that when we dont need it and have zero employees in it, we still get charged every month, and the only way to stop that is to completely cancel our account. It would be nice if there was a way to simply deactivate the account instead.

It would be nice for associates to see their work schedule in the app, instead of the emailed version that they receive. Like wise it would be great to see the schedule from a manager or administrator position. Be an app that helps with day to day operation. Call outs have to managed back in the office or at a computer. This the 3rd time I have requested this update.

It would be nice if the time card display had a subtotal line between week one and week two so those of us that are on a two week pay period could check hours for each seven day work week without having to add them up manually individually. FYI, other Time tracking apps do have that and maybe on your next upgrade it could be added. Thank you!

Very happy with the system. Would love a portion of OTC that is easy access for Employee info to be placed address phone SSN DOB etc and included for easy access for the employer when we are managing or forwarding info to other professionals it would be convienent to have it all in one place so if we need to mail checks we can reference pertinant details that our employees are able to edit and update themselves when in OTC. Additionally timecard info per employee and ability for employer to print off Paystub would be wonderful without having to jump through hoops or tell our employees "sorry you have them digitally its up to you to print them off we cant even view them". Otherwise the system is relatively simple and smooth and is very practical in application for our business needs! Thanks again Alexis

I am not a fan of other systems that took me weeks to learn. Every time I went back in, it seemed that I had to relearn the locations of payroll features. I love how simple this payroll is. Clock in, Clock out, review time cards, and pay employees. Done!

After trying expensive alternatives we found on the clock. Thank you for making functions so simple, clear, and user friendly!!!! Love that I can control the information gathered from the admin account so our employees dont have to worry about being tracked. Just simple punch in/out, PTO, and manager tracking of hours. Love that there is a payroll option as well. Especially love that users can edit their punch ins if they forget to clock in or out! So simple! Thank you!!!!

As far as time tracking, timesheet management, and PTO management this system worked great. However, we never were able to integrate it with our Quickbooks where we process payroll therefore we will not continue to use this system and we are not signing up for their new payroll option either since we already have QuickBooks for all our finance management.

I like on the clock because it is VERY easy to use -- anyone can figure it out. It does a good job of keeping track of employee hours. However, with the upcoming rate increases, it has become expensive for what we use it for -- just a time clock. Im wondering if there is something cheaper out there that would do the same thing.

As a small business with only 2 hourly employees, On the Clock has been a godsend! Our payroll service was charging us a monthly time clock fee for ALL employees -including salaried/owners. Plus their time clock program was not easy to use, presenting issues with payroll processing. I stumbled upon On the Clock and could not be happier! Our staff member appreciate being able to clock in/out with their cell phones. I appreciate that I can set geographical boundaries for clocking in/out. I highly recommend to those needing a great online time clock

I think the platform has a lot of strong foundational features. I wish there was an easier way to input schedules by department, and that the app itself was a little faster. More modern UX would also be a plus.

I think we should be the ones who turn on any functions. They should not come pre set with an option to use the app to clock in. It seems there must have been an update and now that feature is automatically available and it is one we didnt want to be available. Only found out when staff admitted to using it. That is all.

I was struggling with keeping up with my staff time. Getting them to clock in and out manually, and tracking their time was a chore. On the clock, is an awesome tool for all of that and more. AND with a capital AND their customer service is the best. Doesnt matter how stupid a question is, they are there to answer and walk you through the process. Just a side note....I dont really do reviews, but when something works, you got to give people as my students say "their props". Make sure this is in your companys budget no matter what.

I love On The Clock because it is very easy to use , I have used other services prior and they always have all these extra steps I have to take to where im almost jus doing data entry into a calculator. smooth and quick to learn.

Were a small company and On the Clock has been a lifesaver. Employees have a record of their hours, and we get the necessary details for ADP to process the payroll. Geofencing is also a bonus. When an employee is on location at one of our customers, On the Clock can also track. Also like job categories. Employees can specify what they worked on, and we know how to expense it. Great product.

I loved the old version when you clicked on a PTO request in the PTO calendar & it brought you straight to that specific request to edit. Now it takes you to the screen with ALL pending requests & we have to search for it all over again. Change it back!!!

I was about to check out the program to see whats new; and it asked if I would give feedback.... Id be happy to! When I used to use the app frequently, it worked flawlessly! Allowing me to track both time and projects, it was the ultimate tool for me as an independent. I plan to start using it again when I start getting clients. Im back now to see whats new. The best part, it is Free for 2 person company. ???? It is a beautiful thing. ... If it had a budgeting or accounting feature and/or tied into HubSpot, mercy me. It may or may not, That is why I am here today, to check out current features. In either case, thanks for how you now have it, and for what you do. I like that if I ever grow my company--it would still be affordable. Its a well thought out app; and I plan to continue to use it as part of my productivity mix.

I love everything about this product. However, I would like to see the hour increments updated by 15 minute intervals i.e. 12:15pm, 12:45 pm, etc.

We made the switch from manual punch cards to OnTheClock a year ago. It is a great tool and has many features that we love, including employee surveys, personal messages, and job coding. The initial set up was simple, even with 85+ employees. The support staff is also very helpful. I would recommend this company for your time tracking needs!

Id love to have this integrate with TriNet PEO Services for payroll. While TriNet does offer their own clock in/out services, it is not ideal and very clunky. We love OTC and wish it would just sync up to our payroll sheet with them.

Software is excellent, but for small companies with part time employees, paying per employee gets excessive. Otherwise, weve been very happy with the service and would be happy to pay if it were more reasonable for our small company

On the clock works incredible. Keeping track of the guys, there hours, sick time, vacation time, anything that you can think of, they thought about and its offered, and I believe at a fair cost. I can only blame myself for not yet taking the time to learn all the benefits and features they offer. 5 stars 100% never once had an issue, I greatly recommend this app for any size business, especially if your in the trades where you have different crews running to different job sites, as the app pin points locations, and punch in/out times. When I accidently sort for all employees to show a years worth of timecards there is no way to stop the system from trying to do it. Even if I log out I cant stop it. I have to wait for the system to time out. I have about 80 employees its trying to put on the screen and the system cant do it. It would be helpful for you to add a "cancel" process button so that OTC is not locked up for the next 15 minutes or so.

Weve been using OnTheClock for about a year now, but unfortunately we will be switching to another provider. We dont use OnTheClock as a classic punch in/punch out time clock. We use it so that our employees can track their hours after the fact. We do not pay for lunch time, so our employees have to do two separate punches to separate out the lunch time. It would be very easy for them to put in a toggle where lunch can be accounted for without having to add a second punch. The other issue we have is that I need to see the employees start and stop times. I do not allow them to total their times and enter it that way. It takes about 4/5 very unintuitive steps just to get to where they can add a Punch. I had to make user documentation to give to every new employee - thats how bad it is. Their customer service is great though. So, they get a star for that.

Hi Laura, Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback! We are working as we speak on ways to improve manual break adding/editing. We are primarily set up as a time clock system, so our features are a little more geared toward clocking in and out rather than adding time in after-the-fact, though you can certainly do that as well. As far as start and stop times goes, our system has multiple places (Whos In, Time Cards) where you can view this information, but perhaps you are referring to something more specific? Regardless, thank you for writing this, we are always listening to feedback to aid in directing the development of our product. -Chris

Small business finally parting with the old time clock and cards. We just kept using them forever because we had always used them, duh. This is such an improvement its crazy we didnt implement sooner. So far we are only using a fraction of what the program has to offer, looking forward to moving forward.

Worked for the beginning, good app, but then the app started putting people out an hour ahead or in an hour ahead. My time zone settings are correct. I emailed support twice and have not received a response. Looking for another app

Worked With some other technicians with on the clock and unfortunately we could not find a resolution to the issue. Tried once more and got Alicia. She let me rant about my issue and with just one screen shot of the error she was able to pinpoint the crux of my issue. We had tried for hours the day before and she killed it in less then 5 minutes. Astounding work
